We had to start at the iconic Birch Tree Allée:

Our next stop was The Great Garden and The Rose Garden:

Then on to The Japanese Garden, which was the main reason I knew we had to come to Stan Hywet!

On our way to The English Garden, we passed a spot that looked like it was right out of a fairy tale!

And our final stop for their session, the English Garden:

Thank you to Stan Hywet for hosting us, and to Rachel and Aaron for trusting us to capture this incredibly special time in your lives!!  We are so honored to be your photographers and can't wait until your wedding day!!

Spectacular 2017! http://loveisallyouneedphotographyllc.zenfolio.com/blog/2017/2/2017-is-going-to-be-spectacular

You guys, I thought 2016 was totally going to be "our year", but 2017 is full force trying to top it!  I can not wait to share all the exciting new things Love Is All You Need Photography has going on this year!!

First off, really quick- 2016 was so incredible.  The couple's we had the opportunity to work with were beyond wonderful, a few of which have become really good friends of mine!  And we want to thank each and every one of them for such a great year!!

That being said, 2017 is off to a ridiculously fun start.  Our 1st wedding of the year is tomorrow, and I know I won't be getting any sleep tonight because I am SO excited for it!!  I have known the bride, Jessica, for many many years and she is an absolute sweetheart.  Not to mention it's the middle of February, and it's going to be 50+ degrees tomorrow!  I mean how sweet is that?!  I know it will be a beautiful day and I can't wait to see her in her wedding dress (and Josh in his tux too of course!!)

After this awesome kick off to our 2017 wedding season we will be jet setting for a few upcoming months!  Our next wedding photo session + trash the dress shoot is in MAUI, and OMGOSH I can not wait!!  Just wait until you see this stunning bride and how beautiful their Hawaiian wedding photos will be!

Mark and I love to travel, and are so excited for a few other cool destination trips we have planned this year.  In April we will be jet setting to Paris to photograph Autumn and Darius's engagement photos!  Photographing couple's in Paris has been an absolute dream of mine and I am so pumped to spend the day with them exploring Paris and taking their engagement pictures!!

Then in June, off to Iceland!!!  I CAN NOT WAIT!!  Caves, Glaciers, Beaches, Lagoons, Waterfalls... I mean come on!  We are planning on a week but I feel like I might not come home!  Haha just kidding I could never leave my puppy Lennon that long!

As much as we LOVE to travel and jet set all over the world, we are true home bodies at heart.  I am 100% happy and content being home with my hubby and my pup, snuggling on the couch watching Shark Tank or This is Us!  So as excited as we are to travel to some beautiful locations to shoot this year, we are also SO extremely grateful for all of our Cleveland weddings too!  And I truly mean this when I say it, we have the BEST couples!  I literally love every one of our couples we get to work with this year!!  It is going to be such a fun year documenting one of the most important days of their lives and I love all the new friendships I have made because of it!!

I am really excited to announce that LIAYN Photography has a brand new home office/studio that we love having our couples come over to and enjoy a glass of wine and talk about their wedding days!  We now offer gorgeous photo albums in every single wedding photography package too, and love having our couples in to view their albums that we design and make them 100% perfect!!   Including these albums are so important to us because we want to make sure our couples have a gorgeous, tangible piece of their wedding day, that they will keep forever!  To pass down from generation to generation, and re-live their wedding day time and time again!

We also have an AWESOME new photo booth that we are offering and let me tell you, it is a blast!!

LIAYN Photography also has a few more things up their sleeves, but you will just have to wait and see what it is!  Can't wait for some exciting future announcements and we look forward to working with everyone this year!!  Now that I am full time I am really looking forward to putting all of my time and energy into giving our couple's a fun, positive, one of a kind experience that not only gives them beautiful engagement and wedding photos, but gives them awesome memories of this great time in their lives!  So bring it on 2017!  I can't wait to meet new people and do what I love!!!

The Next Chapter http://loveisallyouneedphotographyllc.zenfolio.com/blog/2016/11/the-next-chapter      A few weeks ago I completed my 10th year as a Flight Attendant, and it's been an amazing 10 years.  I started this job when I was 21 years old.  My entire 20's was spent flying around the world, meeting and working with wonderful people.  I have met some of my very best friends in the world at this job, I had the opportunity to fly with my mom and my dad, even having some really fun layovers with them like Cancun and Vegas!  I will never, ever forget those trips.  And I met the love of my life in that job.  Had I never become a flight attendant, I may have never met Mark, and for that I will be eternally grateful.

Even though flying has been so good to me, given me beautiful experiences and helped me grow, it is time to retire my wings.  3 years ago I started my photography company doing friend's maternity and children's pictures, and never in my wildest dreams would I have imagined ending up where I am today.  This year we photographed 25 weddings, 2 of which were destination, and my eyes opened to the many possibilities that could be ahead of us.  But one thing was clear, it was becoming extremely hard juggling both jobs.  My brides can all vouch that I am ALWAYS there for them, and it is extremely important to me to be able to answer phone calls, emails and texts quickly because they are my priority and are so very important to me.  In order to keep my business growing and be there at all time, I have to be here, all the time.  Flying was preventing that.  As much as I loved flying, I LOVE Photography even more.  I love photographing weddings with every ounce of my being.  This job has given me a satisfaction, appreciation, and a drive I never knew I had.  I am so thankful I have found a passion in life that makes me feel inspired, and I get to do it for a living.  It's been a dream come true.

After many months of debating, many tears, and even more prayers, I finally had that "AH HA!" moment, and realized it was time to resign from flying.  This decision was not easy, by any means, but I can tell you today I know it was the right choice and I 100% have no regrets.  I woke up today feeling so stress free, and excited for the future.  There is absolutely no way I could have made this decision without the unconditional love and support from my husband.  He knows what a good job I gave up, but he also knows how hard I have worked to grow my company and how much I sincerely love it.  I am also so grateful for the support of my family.  When I approached the topic of "being a photographer" to them 3 years ago, they never once doubted me.  They have supported me this entire time, told me how proud they are of me, even bought me camera gear for my birthdays and Christmas!  I called my dad crying one day because I was struggling with this decision, and I will never forget what he said.  "It's time Trin.  You found something you love, and you'll only grow from here."  My mom, who is still a flight attendant, had a little bit harder time letting go!  I know she will miss me flying because on rare occasions we would run into each other in the Houston airport bathroom (true story) or have those wonderful rare trips together, but she knows this is the right decision for me.

A few weeks ago I had my final flight.  I was so lucky because I got work with my mom, and share that experience with my family.  My mom and I worked together, and Mark and my dad came along for the ride!  We flew to Newark Liberty International Airport, had a delicious breakfast, and flew back to Cleveland.  It was one of the easier trips ;-)   It was so bittersweet working with my mom that day, because I knew she was sad that I was leaving, but also happy for me and proud.  I will always remember my last flight and so happy my family got to be there with me to celebrate!  I am so excited to share with everyone that I am officially a Full-time Photographer!  I am so happy I can dedicate 100% of my time and energy into building my business and being their for my couple's!  This is truly a dream come true!

If any of you are still reading this (I know, its long!) I can't tell you how much your words of encouragement means to me.  It's a scary thing, taking this leap of faith, but life is short and when you figure out what your dream is, you don't follow it... you chase it.

A super HUGE shoutout to these amazing people, because I HONESTLY would NOT be here today without them:

Stacey- for sparking this dream and ALWAYS encouraging and pushing me!!  I love you forever!

Mark- I couldn't ask for a better husband, best friend, 2nd shooter, puppy dad, and partner in all things.  I love you so much babe.

Dad- Thank you for never doubting me.  You're the best dad in the world- I love you SO much!!

Mom- Thanks for always being my best friend, being honest with me, and being a positive support system.  You're my best friend, and I love you so much!

Allie- my mama/bff/wilbur to my willis.  You always love me for me, thanks for always being here!!  Love you mama!

My family- You guys are the best!  Thanks for coming in to celebrate with me and for your words of encouragement!!  I love you guys!

My United Family- you all have no idea how much your support means to me.  Reading all your kind words and words of encouragement brought me to tears.  I will never forget any of you!

My friends-  You know who you are!!!  Bops, our HS crew who are still thick as thieves, my old roomies, I love you all so much!!!  Thanks for always putting up with me takin 1000's of pictures in High school.  If we only knew, right?!

A Cleveland Engagement http://loveisallyouneedphotographyllc.zenfolio.com/blog/2016/9/a-cleveland-engagement

I can't tell you how happy I am Amanda and John chose us as their wedding photographers!  I've met John and his family a few times before, having photographed his cousin and his brother's weddings, and they are such a lovely and kind family.  I knew John and Amanda would be the sweetest couple, and I was definitely right!  They were so cute at their engagement session and Amanda is just gorgeous!  And we even got to include their adorable little dog Rosy!

We had so much taking photos in some of Cleveland's more scenic and iconic locations.  We started at Edgewater park with Rosy.  Had to get a skyline shot (because who doesn't love our beautiful skyline!)  and then headed to East 4th!  Loved wandering the famous street with them taking pictures whenever something caught our eye!  We ended their session with a surprise for the couple... champagne!  We had set up to take a few photos on the roof top of Greenhouse Tavern, and I thought what could be better than having some champagne in the photos and to top off their session!  We snapped a few last shots, and were on our way so they could enjoy the bubbly and moment alone :)

Thanks for an awesome session Amanda and John, and we can't wait for your wedding next July!!

An Italian Wedding to Remember http://loveisallyouneedphotographyllc.zenfolio.com/blog/2016/9/an-italian-wedding-to-remember

The detail that went into Amanda and Mike's Italian wedding yesterday was absolutely magical.  She wanted a backyard Italian wedding, and thats exactly what came to fruition.  With so much help from her family and friends, their reception was beyond gorgeous.  Candles everywhere, gorgeous bouquets of flowers, and tons of Italian touches, it was such a gorgeous affair for this wonderful couple.  It may have rained, but no one will ever remember, all they will remember was how stunning Amanda looked and how happy everyone was to be there to celebrate with them!

Congratulations Mike and Amanda!! So happy for you both!

Destination - ALASKA! http://loveisallyouneedphotographyllc.zenfolio.com/blog/2016/8/destination---alaska

A few months ago Beth posted the most beautiful scenic pictures on Facebook.  She had also recently gotten engaged.  Jokingly, I commented on the photos and said Beth please get married in that beautiful spot and please let me photograph it!  I was joking, but not really ;-)  At the time, I thought the photos were taken in Denver, where she lives.  Little did I know, that WAS where her ceremony was going to be, but it wasn't in Denver, it was in Alaska!  Beth called me and asked if I would really want to come take her wedding photos and without hesitation I excitedly said yes of course!  And when she said "You do know its in Alaska right?"  I thought "Even better!!"  I can't tell you how honored I am that Beth and her now husband Jeff wanted us to fly out to do her wedding photography.  It truly meant the world to me!  To make it an even more amazing offer, she invited us to come out early and spend a few days sight seeing!  We had such an amazing time hiking, touring, adventuring out in Alaska, but the whole week all I really wanted to do was take the wedding photos!

Beth and Jeff actually met 26 years ago.  They both attended University of Colorado and took a Music Theory class.  Even after Jeff returned to Alaska, where he was born and raised, they remained friends and kept in touch all those years.  5 years ago Beth flew to Alaska for a visit, and Jeff knew he would not let her go again.  They started dating, and the rest is history!  They got engaged a few short months ago, but decided to plan their wedding for August 20th, because that is also the date of Jeff's parent's 50 year anniversary!  Beth's parents will be celebrating their 50th anniversary in November.  It was such a pleasure meeting and getting to know both sets of parents and see what great role models they are in life and in marriage.  I know Beth and Jeff will have just as blessed of a life and marriage as they do too.

Their wedding day couldn't have been more beautiful.  Between the delicate handmade details, to the group of friends and family there to help, to the absolute perfect Alaskan weather you could ask for, their day was 100% perfect and they 100% deserved it.  Beth and Jeff are such a kind and adoring couple.  I constantly caught Jeff just smiling and looking at his bride with pure love.  Their love really shined through in their photos and it was such a beautiful thing to witness.  I am so happy we got to be there to capture their day and I already miss everyone!!  Can't wait to see them all again <3  Congratulations Beth and Jeff!  We wish you many blessed years of love and marriage!

**Feel free to leave Beth and Jeff a love note in the comments below!**

Introducing the new Mr. and Mrs. Brown! http://loveisallyouneedphotographyllc.zenfolio.com/blog/2016/8/introducing-the-new-mr-and-mrs-brown

I couldn't be more excited to share a few (ok a lot) of my favorite's from Brittany and Tony's wedding.  They are such a beautiful couple, inside and out, and it's been so great getting to know them.  I am still swooning over their wedding photos! Their wedding day was absolutely perfect, and Brittany was the most stunning bride.  I kept joking (but not really) that she's my model bride and they are a model couple!  I guess when you're that in love it just shows!  Congratulations to these two and cheers to many years of wedded bliss!!

Jennie & Josh's Wedding http://loveisallyouneedphotographyllc.zenfolio.com/blog/2015/10/jennie-joshs-wedding I have been waiting for Josh and Jennie's wedding all year!  It has been so great getting to know these two.  After doing their engagement photos last fall I knew they were a fun loving couple that loved to be goofy and make each other laugh!  We had a great time that day, and I knew their wedding would be even more fun!  Let me tell you, they did not let me down!  Between this adorable couple and their awesome bridal party, it was such a fun day!  And I have to say too, Jennie’s bridesmaids were some of the best I have had the pleasure of working with!  They put up with all my crazy ideas and were a huge help when it came down to perfecting the shot!  All of them pitched in when needed and were all a great help on Jennie’s special day.  And Josh’s groomsmen… they were there to keep Josh laughing and get the party started!

There wedding ceremony was at this adorable little chapel in downtown Olmsted falls, and I have always been curious as to what it looked like inside!  This chapel had a perfect room for the girls to get ready with a gorgeous outside balcony, and we took full advantage of it!

After the ceremony we took some fun pictures with the bridal party, and then a few lovely romantic shots of the new Mr. and Mrs.  These pictures are why I love photographing weddings.  We found a perfect little spot for their pictures and these are truly some of my favorite pictures, Ever!  Between this stunning bride, handsome groom, and gorgeous fall foliage, it was a picture perfect place!!

After pictures we all headed to the Reception, where everything was beautifully decorated in fall colors and lit with candles and lanterns.  I know Jennie & Josh had a blast at their ceremony, as well as their bridal party and guests… and me too!  I wish them nothing but the best in the future and many years of health and happiness!   (And you two better call me when you have babies!!)  Can’t wait to see them again.  Congratulations Jennie & Josh!!

And they lived Happily Ever After...

Katie & Johnny's Fall Engagement Session http://loveisallyouneedphotographyllc.zenfolio.com/blog/2015/10/katie-johnnys-fall-engagement-session I met Katie this past January when she stopped by my photography booth at a bridal expo.  She was out shopping with her mom, and stopped by and chatted with me for a bit.  I knew instantly I liked her!   She told me she was very interested in having me as her wedding photographer, but wanted to bring her fiancé back the next day to meet me before she officially booked.  The whole next day I kept looking for Katie and telling my friend who was helping me at the booth that I really hoped she would come back!  I met a lot of people at that expo, but Katie I remembered.  Sometimes you just meet people, and get a really good feeling about them, and I just liked her from the start!  I was so excited when I saw her and Johnny walk up to us!  We chatted for a little bit and even took this adorable picture of them with my “photobooth” set up, and the rest is history!

I am so happy I met them that weekend back in January.  They are such an awesome couple and I am so excited to be photographing their wedding next October!  We had an absolute blast at their engagement session today.  Katie and I kept watching the weather, and waiting for the perfect fall day.  And today, we got it!  It was so cute seeing these two interact during their session.  Johnny is so protective of her, it was adorable.  He claims its because he has 6 sisters… but I think its because he just loves her that much :-P   And Katie is this independent fearless woman, but she let still let him be protective :)   They are a match made in Heaven, and I am so happy to have met them both!

Check out some of my favorite’s from their engagement session today

This is when I met the couple back in January!  How cute are they?!

And from their session today...

And even though these 2 are fans of two rivaling teams... they are still a perfect pair ;-)

Becca & Justin's Perfect Fall Wedding http://loveisallyouneedphotographyllc.zenfolio.com/blog/2015/10/becca-justins-perfect-fall-wedding The title to this post could not describe yesterday's wedding any better, it truly was perfect.  And this amazing couple 100% deserved it!  I did not realize until yesterday that Becca & Justin have been together for as long as they have.  Many years in fact!  But yesterday proved, good things come to those who wait!  Their wedding day was absolutely spectacular in every sense of the word.  Becca put so much thought and heart into all the details and the couple pulled off one of the most beautiful weddings I have ever seen.

From the very start of the day I was in love with everything their wedding day had to offer.  I met with the girls at Becca's parents house, the home where she grew up.  It was a lovely morning, full of mimosas and homemade pumpkin bread her mother made herself.  While the girls got their hair and makeup done, I was giddy over all the fun pictures I was able to take of all the details.  The flowers, the jewelry, those amazing shoes... and that DRESS!  It was a photographers dream!  A nice relaxing morning led to one stunningly beautiful bride as it was time to get ready and meet her groom at the altar!

Meanwhile, the boys... well take a look for yourself ;-)   The guys getting ready were a little different story, but no less fun (thats for sure!)  Mark met the guys while they got ready at the hotel, and took a little detour to a bar.  They're guys, would you expect any less?!  It looks like they had a fun time joking around on the limo bus and taking pictures in the Quad (of John Carroll University).  But when the time came, they got their game faces on, and headed to the church for the ceremony.  And not a minute late!  I was so proud ;-)

After a beautiful catholic ceremony, Becca & Justin became a Mr. and Mrs.!   The "hard part" is over, and now it was time to go have fun!  The couple took us all around the campus of John Carroll where many of the bridal party attended.  Such a beautiful campus with a lot of photo opportunities for us!  I especially like the Giant Head!

After that we hurried over to Downtown Olmsted Falls and got some of the most beautiful pictures I think we might have ever taken!  I am not just saying that because I adore Becca & Justin so much, I am truly in love with these shots!  They're fun bridal party definitely gave us some photo gold too ;-)   We had fun!

The wedding day ended with a gorgeously Fall decorated reception at The 100th Bomb Group right across from Cleveland Hopkins Airport.  Every detail in that room was so flawlessly executed and the night was a complete success!  All 200+ guests seemed to get out on the dance floor, and everyone loved the popcorn bar and Photo Booth!  Becca & Justin didn't stop smiling the whole night, and had a blast dancing and mingling with their guests.

At one point during the day, Becca said to me "I am so happy this is just the best day ever!  Everything is perfect."  That made me SO extremely happy to hear, because they truly deserve it!  I just hope our pictures add to the beauty and memory of their special day, and they can re-live it and enjoy it for many years to come!  Congratulations Becca & Justin, we were so honored to have been there for your beautiful wedding day!

Kristen & Danny - Love amongst the Lily Pads http://loveisallyouneedphotographyllc.zenfolio.com/blog/2015/8/kristen-danny---love-amongst-the-lily-pads Last month I met this gorgeous couple at a really unique spot to do their engagement pictures.  A good friend of mine's parents have the most beautiful, magical backyard I have ever seen!  Ever since I saw it I always dreamed of taking pictures there.  Lucky for me they extended an invitation for us to come out and use the yard for pictures, and I am so grateful they did!  Between the old wooden swing, the dock on the pond, and the hundreds of lily pads everywhere, it was the most beautiful setting for their pictures!  I loved spending time with Kristen and Danny getting to know them and hearing how they got engaged.  After we took full advantage of all the backyard had to offer, we stopped at a nearby train track to take a few shots.  I especially love the one shot (pictured below) of the couple sitting on the tracks thats in black and white.  So gorgeous!  Do they not seriously look like models?  lol.   After I made this couple do all kinds of crazy stuff : fish for the "perfect" lily pad, sit on a swing that was literally over the water, play on train tracks :-P and run out into a wide open field to get this one shot I was envisioning, we ventured a little ways away to try to catch the sunset.  Even though we didn't get to see the actual sun setting, it was still the most perfect night!  The sky was a beautiful shade of pink and yellow and we had our own special spot in the park to take pictures with their adorable puppy and drink some champagne!  Overall I think it was a perfect evening and I hope Kristen & Danny had as much fun as I did!

Family is everything. http://loveisallyouneedphotographyllc.zenfolio.com/blog/2015/6/family-is-everything A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to see an old friend and meet her beautiful family.  I have known Leah since middle school (man that makes me feel old!)  I have always seen pictures of her beautiful babies but never saw them in person, so when she asked me to do her daughter's 1 year pictures plus a few family ones I was thrilled to do it!  This gorgeous family met me in downtown Olmsted Falls and right when we got there it started raining!  This did not bother the kids one bit.  They didn't mind running around in the rain!  Luckily it passed quickly and we were able to get on with our shoot!  Leah and Paul have 3 beautiful children, all of which are their total mini me's!   They are literally the complete 1/2 and 1/2 of each parent, and absolutely gorgeous!  They all have the most beautiful eyes (check the pics below!).  Little Harper was just about to turn 1, and is such a sweet little soul.  She did not fuss for 1 second for her pictures!  She just sat there, looked at the camera, looked at mom, and did her thing!  Such a beauty.  Mason, who was turning 2 the very next day, did not love the camera as much!  But lucky for us we still got some really cute pictures of him ;-)   The oldest child, Gavin, was a total ham the whole time!  He did such a great job trying to make his sister smile for her pictures and showed me his best dance moves too!  I think he was just excited to share Harper's cake later on!  I love photo sessions like this where I get a glimpse into the life of the family and see how the siblings interact.  There is so much love in this family and all I can say is my dear old friend did an amazing job raising these 3 babies!  (With the help of Paul too of course!)  I am so honored I got to do these pictures for them and so happy to have met them!   I hope you love their family pictures as much as I do!

Lucky in Love http://loveisallyouneedphotographyllc.zenfolio.com/blog/2015/3/lucky-in-love You know the expression "If you love what you do, you never work a day in your life"?  I never fully understood that, until I became a photographer.

Every day I get to do what I love.  In the 2+ years I have been running my photography business "Love is All you Need Photography, LLC", I have never taken a single day for granted.  I know what it means to have a small place in the vast industry.  I have always been in love with photography, every aspect of it.  But it wasn't until I took that leap of faith and made a career of it, that I got to know my passion for it.  Photography is literally everything to me, I eat sleep and breath it, I live for it.  Now, to me, going for a walk in the park isn't just that, its scouting a new photo shoot location.  Seasons changing in all their beauty, is noting the best times of year and times of day for picture taking.  Seeing peoples interactions in everyday life is thinking "that would make such a cute picture!"  It is literally all I think about!  When I'm not shooting, I am thinking about shooting, and when I'm not thinking about shooting, I'm editing!  It's a beautiful never ending process that I absolutely cherish.

I am so lucky to be in love with my career.  It is 100% fulfilling and rewarding.  I am so grateful for all the wonderful people I have met in the past few years.  They let me into their lives, give me a glimpse of their family, and trust me to capture beautiful moments for them.  Working with people, making them laugh and smile, it's what I love!  I will do just about anything to get the shot, including making funny faces and noises to make a baby or little kid smile!  Photographers have no insecurities when it comes to that, we just do what we have to do!

Thats just a little about me, loving what I do.  Capturing special and unique moments for people is an absolute honor, and one I hope to have for a long, long time!

Are you Lucky in Love too?  I would love to hear about it!

Yours,

Katrina
